Furmano's Foods, Inc. hired Smithworks for a website to promote their line of canned tomatoes and other farm fresh products. Designed, programmed and produced from the West Chester offices of SWD, Furmanos.com has 750 pages of content and more than 500 photographs to promote 130 skus.
With over 500 recipes, searchable by ingredient or part of a meal, the site allows users to get inspiration, research nutritional information or share a recipe with the online world. A custom-built calculator tailors each recipe by the number of desired servings. The site addresses each of Furmano's audiences including retail, foodservice, manufacturing, export, branded, and private label markets.
Since the site went live in September of 2008, the content has been consistently updated and expanded with recipes, promotions and contests.
