The revised website reflects the vast collections of the Chester County Historical Society.
The collages in each section help tell a story, much like the Historical Society pieces together parts of the past to tell the county's story.
CHESTER COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Chester County Historical Society first used Smithworks to create a brand for the 25th Anniversary of their annual Antiques Show. Working with a board, satisfying diverse objectives and opposing interests, while channeling separate energies in the same direction was no small feat. The catalogue and marketing package bonded the CCHS board with members who rallied to advertise and exhibit, in greater numbers than any year prior, in celebration of the landmark year. Smithworks has managed the catalogue designs and marketing elements to fuel the annual fundraising vehicle of CCHS, which has increased each year since 2007.
Smithworks was next hired to evaluate and rebuild the CCHS website to simplify access to more information for a wider audience and promote each year’s events and activities. A new logical hierarchy on the web is inviting as well as practical. CCHS can update content as needed. Enhanced navigation makes information easier to find including the range of services offered by the society’s many departments. Higher exposure through the simplified site serves to encourage patrons to increase their annual donations to the non-profit.
